Sixty Gallon Lockable Package Delivery Box compared with other Tools & Home Improvement options
How this resin drop box stacks up against metal bins and open porches for securing your deliveries.
Short answer
The Sixty Gallon Lockable Package Delivery Box stands out from other Tools & Home Improvement options by using a rust-proof resin build and a one-way baffle hatch to block hands from reaching inside. Unlike metal bins that can rust or open porches that leave boxes exposed, this unit hides your parcels completely.
How It Stacks Up Against Other Options
| Feature | Option A | Option B |
|---|---|---|
| Material | Resin (rust-resistant, won't rot) | Steel or iron (can rust over time) |
| Security Mechanism | One-way baffle hatch blocks hands | Requires carrier to manually lock it |
| Capacity | 60 gallons (fits multiple medium boxes) | Slim drop slots (often limited to mail) |
What to check before you buy
- Measure your largest typical deliveries to ensure they fit the entry hatch.
- Confirm you have a concrete or wood surface to anchor the box so it cannot be carried away.
- Prepare for manual assembly, as the unit does not arrive pre-built.
- Check your porch space to ensure a dark grey or brown box fits your aesthetic, despite the 'Black' listing title.
While the maker says this box acts like a private bank vault, its security relies on its physical weight or anchoring. An unanchored box can still be tipped over or carried away by determined thieves.
